How to reach
Getting Around:
Jeeps/four-wheel drives are available to tour the park. They can be rented from Ramnagar, from the KMVN Tourist Lodge and other travel agencies. Private vehicles are allowed inside, but with permission, a guide and on payment of a fee. One bus each day goes to Dhikala from Ramnagar, stopping at the forest rest houses en route. But excursions into the park are best on elephant back. Park Safari The park opens at 6 am and is open till about 11 am. In the afternoon the park timings are from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. However, depending on the season the timings change.Be it any time of the day, the trip into dense forest is mesmerizing. So plan your safaris in such a manner that you manage to see all shades of forest. Best Seasons
Corbett Park can be visited all through the year, except the rainy season. Summer (April to June) is the ideal time for spotting animals, especially tigers and elephants. Winter months (November to March) are good for bird watching and to see the variety of flora. The park remains closed from 15 June to 15 November.

In the midst of hills and forests, it's nature that is the sole source of entertainment, besides the interesting stories of man-animal encounters. The major attraction at night is the bon-fire at various camps and resorts and the subsequent cultural programmes. Almost every resort has a library and a reading room where films on wildlife are shown.
